ToolStash is built by Statio.Faith LLC. If something isn't working or you can't figure out how to do something, this page is the place to start. If you don't find your answer below, email us — we read every message.
Tap the yellow + on the Home screen. ToolStash walks you through three quick OCR captures (brand, model, serial) for power tools, or a single photo for hand tools. Aim the camera at the printed label and hold steady — the wizard auto-advances each step.
Profile → My Garages lets you add as many locations as you want (Garage, Shed, Truck, Cabin). When you confirm a tool, pick which one to file it under from the dropdown.
Open the tool, tap Mark as Loaned. You can pick the borrower from your phone contacts or type their name. Optionally set a return-by date. When the tool comes back, tap Mark as Available and the loan info clears.
Brand and model live in different printed spots on every tool. Move the phone slightly so the text you want falls inside the highlighted box, hold still for a second, and the wizard will capture it. If it really won't read, tap Enter manually at the bottom of the capture screen.
Friends only show up after they've signed up and confirmed their email. Tap Find friends from contacts on the Friends screen and ToolStash will surface anyone in your address book who's already on the app. If they're not on yet, tap Invite to send them a sign-up link.
Check three things, in order:
On the sign-in screen, tap Continue with Email and then Forgot password?. We'll email a reset link to the address on your account.
Email [email protected] from the address associated with your account, subject line "Delete my account." We process deletions within 30 days. After processing, every tool, photo, friend connection, and account record tied to your address is removed from our database and storage.
Send the same email with subject line "Export my data" and we'll reply with a JSON archive of your profile, tools, friend graph, and loan history within 30 days.
