ToolStash — Privacy Policy

ToolStash ("we", "the app") helps you catalog your tools and borrow and lend them with
friends you connect with. We built ToolStash to be private by default: your tools and
activity are visible only to you and the friends you choose, and we do not sell your
data or use it for advertising.

Who runs ToolStash
ToolStash is operated by Statio / Cairn Holdings LLC. Contact: info@statio.faith.

What we collect
  • Account info: your email address, display name, and optional profile photo. We use
  Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or email/password to sign you in.
  • Your tools: the names, photos, brands, models, serial numbers, categories, notes,
  and locations you add to your inventory.
  • Friends & sharing: the friend connections you make, and which tools you mark as
  available to lend.
  • Borrowing activity: loan requests, approvals, pickups, returns, and history between
  you and your friends.
  • Optional location: if you add a garage location, we store its coordinates. It is
  shared with your connected friends only if you turn that on; otherwise it stays
  private to you.
  • Notifications: a push notification token for your device so we can alert you about
  borrow requests, approvals, and returns.
  • Basic device info: device model and app version, used to deliver notifications and
  keep the app working.

We do not collect contacts unless you tap "Find friends from your contacts," and we
do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use your data
Only to provide the app: to show you your inventory, connect you with friends, run the
borrow/lend flow, send the notifications you ask for, and keep the service reliable and
secure. That's it — no advertising, no data sales, no cross-app tracking.

Who we share it with
  • Your friends see only what you choose to share: your tools marked available, your
  display name/photo, and (if you opt in) your garage location.
  • Service providers we rely on: Apple (Sign in with Apple, push delivery via APNs),
  Google (Sign in with Google; Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android push), and our maps/
  geocoding provider for the nearby-tools map. They process data only to provide these
  functions.
  • We otherwise do not share or sell your personal data.

Your account data is stored on our own privately-operated servers (not a third-party
analytics or ad platform) and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.

Your choices & rights
  • Edit or delete any tool, friend connection, or your profile at any time in the app.
  • Turn garage-location sharing on or off.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing info@statio.faith;
  we will delete it within a reasonable period.

Children
ToolStash is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date
above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
